  • Training Manager French Speaking
    • Position: Training Manager French Speaking

      The Company
      Lodi Vehicles Ltd. is a UK based company specialising in Vehicle and Equipment Lifecycle Management.

      The Position
      A Training Manager, fluent in French, to be responsible for setting up and managing the training school for a workshop facility providing maintenance services for up to 15,000 soft-skinned military and civilian wheeled vehicles.
      The Training Manager will be based in-country and will report to the Project Manager. The Programme facilities will include a number of workshop areas and specialist workshops and will be staffed by a team of circa 140 managers, technicians and admin staff. The role of the Training Manager will be to establish and manage a Training school, the development of a range of courses and the skills development of a team of around 100 skilled and semiskilled Moroccan automotive technicians. The responsibilities of the post will include:

      • Development of training school and installation of equipment and training units
      • Maintenance of personnel training records and, with workshop managers, identification of staff training requirements
      • Management of the Training department and provision of training as required
      • Development of training courses in line with City & Guilds requirements or similar International standards of Qualification
      • Communication and cooperation with the relevant Training Certification Authority to establish training, examination and verification standards to C&G level 1-3 (or equivalent)
      • The continual improvement of staff skills, programme work standards and personnel development

       

      The Candidate
      The successful candidate will have had considerable proven experience of Automotive Training Management to C&G standards (or similar, recognised international training accreditation programme). Candidates will be fluent French speakers with a proven track record in delivering training programmes on a similar scale and to the required standards.

  • Heavy Equipment Technicians Trucks
    • Position: Heavy Equipment Technicians Trucks

      The Company
      Lodi Vehicles Ltd. is a UK based company specialising in Vehicle and Equipment Lifecycle Management. Fluency in English is a requirement and a good working knowledge of French would be an advantage.

      The Position
      The vacancy is for Heavy Equipment Lead Technicians on a 12 months contract to maintain trucks and construction equipment in Burkina Faso. The job will involve carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of trucks and construction equipment and some supervision of local mechanics to ensure high standards of repair and maintenance are consistently achieved.
      The job will include:-

      • Implementing a system of routine maintenance in line with manufacturers schedules
      • Standard and complex repairs to vehicles and major assemblies
      • Fault diagnostics and Electrical repairs
      • Supervision of a team of local mechanics and assistant mechanics
      • Use of equipment workshop manuals and special tools
      • Use of EPCs and parts manuals to identify parts requirements
      • Field servicing of vehicles and breakdown recovery
      • Training of local mechanics in the use of tools and equipment and repair procedures


      The Candidate
      The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced automotive technician with Lead or Foreman technician experience and good communication skills. Candidates should have appropriate, internationally recognised automotive qualifications. Fluency in English is a requirement and a good working knowledge of French would be an advantage.

    • Position: Technician Sedans and Auto-electric

      Lodi Vehicles Ltd. is a UK based company specialising in Vehicle and Equipment Lifecycle Management.

      The Position
      The vacancy is for Lead Technicians on renewable 12 month contracts to provide first line support to the managers of individual and specialist workshops within and major facility providing maintenance services for up to 15,000 soft-skinned military and civilian wheeled vehicles. Responsibilities will include:-

      • Complex and major vehicle or unit repairs and fault diagnostics
      • Supervision the workshop team of skilled and semi-skilled technicians
      • Support to the Assistant Workshop Managers in the assessment of staff capabilities and optmising workforce development and skill levels.
      • Support to the Assistant Workshop Managers in achieving manufacturer’s standards of operations including standard repair procedures and repair operation times
      • Support to the Assistant Workshop Managers for workshop documentation and process management to ensure the smooth running of workshop management systems and workshop administration


      The Candidate
      The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced automotive technician with Lead or Foreman technician experience. Candidates should have appropriate, internationally recognised automotive qualifications such as HNC or City & Guilds class 3 (or recognised international equivalent). Fluency in English is a requirement and some French language capability will be an advantage
